The Kootenay Collective is a trade association representing the Kootenay region’s licensed cannabis producers. It’s responsible for bringing local industry together, managing quality standards, and protecting the region’s legacy.

How it Works

Membership in the Kootenay Collective is open to all Kootenay-based licensed producers but only qualifying crops may carry the badge.

Step 1: Standards
Participating members operate within a member-defined framework that set clear requirements for quality, transparency, and origin.

Step 2: Certification
Individual lots are assessed against these standards, and only those that meet all requirements are eligible for certification.

Step 3: Identification
Certified lots may carry the Badge as a signal of origin and having met the Kootenay region’s collective quality standards.

Step 4: Accountability
The Kootenay Collective is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Badge through monitoring, certification, and enforcement.
